Shadrack Resort Presents The Holt Boys!
Saturday October 4th, 2025, Shadrack Resort will host The Holt Boys for an event to remember the late, great Danny Frieze. It will be a benefit in his honor. We are going to have a fish fry, with plates costing $15 each. All of the money goes to a local charity! This event is open to the public, but the Cabins are not. You have to call 417-655-3939 to reserve these rooms. You CAN NOT book this online!!! At Shadrack Resort, we are looking for a great local charity to donate too. If you have a suggestion you can make them at shadrackresort@shadrack-resort.com.
During the day we will have fun and games like a cornhole tournament, pool volleyball, horseshoes, and a lot of other activities. And of course the pool will be open to all that donate. We want to have GOOD TIMES, GOOD TIMES!! If you would like to come to this event and would like to bring a side dish, please call or email. We are part of this community, and would love the community to be involved.
Little back story, Danny Frieze was born in Branson, MO October 5th, 1962. Grew up and went to Reeds Spring, MO. A Father of 3, grandfather of 10, a husband, and a lifelong resident of the area. In late 2024, he got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. They gave him 8 months to live. He lasted, maybe 3. He passed at 62. He worked all his life to get to enjoy the little things, but never made it that far. So we are going to enjoy them for him. He was always about a good time! So that's what we're going to have. He would have wanted to give back to the community, so that is what we are going to do.
The Holt Boys, kind of like my dad, are life long residents of the area, are a great up and coming band of the area. He enjoyed listening to them. So you should too! Come out October 4th and enjoy a great cause in a great memory! No admission to get in, but donations are required. Remember, we are doing this to help the community. As soon as we know the charity that we are going to donate to, we will let you know. But it will be local!

Joey and Brian Holt make up The Holt Boys! Joey, just 16 years old, is one of the best young musicians in southwest Missouri. Brian, has been doing a lot of things in the area, from playing music to karaoke. The group is wonderful! And plus, you never know who will show up to play with them. We at Shadrack Resort felt that Postcards were going away. Well, we want to bring them back! Check into one of our cabins and you can receive free postcards. That way you can share your trip to Shadrack Resort with all of your friends. We want to make an old tradition, new again!

All you have to do is stay with us in one of our cabins and fill out the postcard and we will do the rest! Fill out the postcard/postcards, leave them in the cabin, and our cleaning crew will give them to us. We will add postage and mail them out for you! Don't feel like filling them out while you stay? Or just don't have their address? Don't worry, we at Shadrack Resort can give you postage to take them with you to fill out later (upon request.)

Loved this place!! Had a fishing trip with the guys. And this place was perfect. 3 bedroom cabin was plenty big for 6 of us. Owners were awesome!! Super close to the lake/Cape Fair Marina.

I love here. The quiet and nature is wonderful. Just down from the lake not even an eighth of a mile. The park offers swimming , playground , Marina and fishing. The resort has a swimming pool . Come and see for yourself.

Shadrack Resort is a tiny piece of paradise and Stephanie, the owner, will literally go above and beyond to ensure your stay at her resort is perfect. I loved my weekend spent with my son there so much in early August for his birthday, we decided to book again a couple weeks later. This time, I invited a few friends and family down and Stephanie was kind enough to allow me to host his birthday party there. We all swam in her pool and had his little 7th birthday party in the amazing little patio area. We made some of our best summer memories at Shadrack Resort and I can't wait to go back. The price is perfect, the rooms are clean and comfy and have everything you should need. You won't find a happier little resort!
